Good morning Roosevelt Families,

Approximately every other week all k-4 classes meet in the gym to review and discuss universal character traits.  September's focus was RESPECT, while we focused on CONFIDENCE in October.  During the month of November our focus will be on RESPONSIBILITY.   Throughout the year teachers integrate the various character traits within their lessons and activities throughout the day.  This aligns with one of our school beliefs, which is the Roosevelt staff will provide a safe, nurturing and respectful environment where all students can grow to become reflective and inquisitive learners.  Feel free to visit our Community With Character district website to learn more.

As a reminder, set your clocks back today as Daylight Savings Time ends.  I have received several questions from boys and girls about this topic.  Here is a Daylight Savings Time Link that might create some Sunday conversation.

LIVONIA GOODFELLOWS

As a reminder the Livonia Goodfellows food drive is running until November 17. Classroom teachers have a box located outside their classroom doors for donations of canned, boxed, and plastic jars containing nutritious foods to give to families in need. Every single donation is greatly appreciated!
